Dungeon Encounters releases October 14, Tokyo Game Show 2021 trailer By Tony Garsow on October 1, 2021 at 7:10 AM

Dungeon Encounters is a new puzzle RPG from Square Enix, featuring direction by Hiroyuki Ito (Final Fantasy IV, V, IX, XII) and character design by Ryoma Ito (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, TA2). Nobuo Uematsu will also be supervising the soundtrack. It will release on October 14th for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Gameplay has characters navigating a field that looks similar to a crossword puzzle, using abilities to help them navigate. Combat sequences feature Active Time Battle, which Ito originally designed for Final Fantasy IV.
