Final Fantasy XIV to address congestion issues in upcoming patch; additional compensation and suspension of sales detailed

Tired of getting Error 2002’s? Fear not, the Endwalker queues might be getting shorter soon! In a recent update by Naoki Yoshida, the team promises further compensation on additional game time with an additional 14 days on top of the previously offered 7 days of game time for those with an active subscription, suspension of digital sales to allow for those with active subscriptions to be prioritized, and most importantly, a possible fix to the infamous “Error 2002” that has been the woe of many aiming to get in during peak hours.

Furthermore, with concerns about the release of the new raid series, Pandæmonium, the patch schedule situation has remained largely unhindered. The team plans to release the raid and its savage variant in Patch 6.05 which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2022, as planned provided there are no major issues along the way. As stated, rebalancing the patches and withholding them would only cause further delays that would affect Patch 6.1 and subsequent patches to follow as well. As for the addition of the planned new data centers and worlds to reduce congestion, the team states that several new worlds are planned to be added to the existing data centers in North America and Europe. Players should hope to expect news regarding the data center expansion with a roadmap by the end of January 2022.
