Outriders reveals Worldslayer expansion for June 30 release

Today, Square Enix and People Can Fly announced that an expansion to co-op looter shooter Outriders will release on June 30th. Titled Worldslayer, it will continue after the events of the base game, and pit players against Ereshkigal, a human Altered, in a final fight for survival, but there are other challenges beyond that, in an update that aims to provide a robust endgame experience.

This includes nearly one-hundred new legendary items, higher gear level caps, a new “Apocalypse” difficulty with exclusive gear, and new progression types including Apocalypse and Ascension tiers. Apocalypse weapons will get a third mod slot for further customization, and a secondary skill tree with new subclass options will be added. Ascension is a long-term progression path that will allow you to incrementally boost various stats, such as Endurance, Brutality, Prowess, and Anomaly powers. Up to level 75 gear will be available, with new types of mods as well. After the campaign, “The Trial of Tarya Gratar” will be available as a high level challenge.

New players can purchase Worldslayer and have access to all that came before, but there will be an option to start at Level 30 for the new campaign – with the option of playing previous content afterward. Returning players can purchase a Worldslayer upgrade, which will apply to your current progress for a seamless integration. Those who pre-order the game will gain access to a 48-hour early access phase prior to launch.

Outriders Worldslayer will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows Store, Google Stadia, and Nvidia Geforce Now on June 30th.
