Final Fantasy XI's June Update continues Voracious Resurgence, Ambuscade updates

Today is Final Fantasy XI‘s monthly update, and it brings more of the Voracious Resurgence scenario along with updates to Ambuscade and other battle-related features. Check out our summary along with the June update patch notes below:

In June’s Ambuscade update, Volume One will feature an repeat encounter with Qutrub, but this time there will be less damage coming from each enemy when the minion is around. However, the boss’s special abilities “Turn the Tables” and “Spin the Tables” deal a cumulative amount of damage and will KO you if your HP is critical.

Volume Two features a new boss encounter against a Doll along with a Magic Pot and Spheroid as minions. Dealing damage to the minions or defeating them will make it easier to damage your main enemy and the team hopes you try this one out.

Next up is the latest update to The Voracious Resurgence scenario. The second chapter of Part 8 will be added and characters including Maat and Mumor will be returning as it continues to unfold in the Jeuno region. May’s update included the first chapter.

Regarding battle-related updates, the Master Level cap will be increased to 40. Eventually the cap will reach the final limit of 50, but the next increase won’t be for quite some time. The Spike Flail ability of Wyrm enemies in Domain Invasion will be changed based on player feedback where players where intentionally triggering Spike Flail to disrupt others who were trying to defeat Mireu in Domain Invasion. The team adds that if you feel that this change isn’t sufficient, post your feedback on the official forums and they will consider further adjustments.

The Sunshine Seeker seasonal event will begin Monday, June 13 and will feature a new Lycopodium Mallet (club) as a reward. New items in future seasonal events are also in the works.
