Echoes of Mana smartphone game to end service on May 15

Developed by Wright Flyer Studios and published by Square Enix, Echoes of Mana is a smartphone gacha RPG that will be closing its doors on May 15th, joining an ever growing list of service games Square Enix has ended in 2023, including Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, Babylon’s Fall, Dragon Quest Dai A Hero’s Bonds, and Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

The game featured a 2D presentation with animated characters pulled from across the Mana series that you could recruit and train in battles, and had only been in operation less than a year, April 27th, 2022 specifically.

According to an official announcement today, the team shared the new, stating that sales of in-game items with real money would be suspended today in tandem with the official end of service announcement. In-game events will still run until end of service.

We regret to announce we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Echoes of Mana app service as of 6:00 on 5/15 (UTC).

From the Echoes of Mana Production Team, we apologize for the abrupt announcement but are sincerely grateful for the support we’ve received from our players.

Since Echoes of Mana’s launch on April 27, 2022, we’ve strived to provide an incredible and enjoyable gaming experience for our players every day that could exceed the day before. However, we’ve come to the conclusion that it would be difficult to continue maintaining the app experience, and to therefore end the app service.
