Final Fantasy XI's June 2023 Update available today

In Final Fantasy XI‘s latest monthly update, available now in the game, the team has updated monthly objectives for the Records of Eminence, and cycled in new Ambuscade notorious monsters and reward items. With the conclusion of The Voracious Resurgence last month, the development team is planning to deliver a small epilogue in the July update.

In other news, new merchandise is currently in the works including new T-shirts, a baseball cap, and a hoodie styled after the Vermillion Cloak item. There’s also a small Hecteyes stand for your pens, a memorandoll mascot strap, and magnets featuring paintings that can be seen in the game – with others planned too.

An upcoming Treasures of Vana’diel exhibition will commence as in-person events resume with the downgrade of the status of COVID-19 in Japan. More information about the event is forthcoming.

There are also several events that are currently taking place in-game, including the June Login Campaign. Accrue enough login points and you’ll be able to exchange them for rewards, including the Poison Axe for 500 points. You can obtain points until Monday, July 3rd, and exchange those points until Sunday, July 9th.

The Sunshine Seeker campaign, which further delves into some of the Babban By Mheillea quest characters is also available from June 14th to June 27th. Here you’ll be asked to retrieve shards of sunshine — as many as you can within a three minute timer while your level is reduced to 1. If you are attacked by certain foes, you’ll receive a penalty, including losing some of the shards you’ve collected.
