Steam version of Front Mission 1st Remake gets first major update

Front Mission 1st Remake recently released on Steam on June 30th, and today the game receives a new update. Developed by Forever Entertainment S. A., the remake takes the original SNES title and updates it in 3D along with other notable features.

In today’s update, the team has fixed bugs related to quick load and quick save functions and fixed an issue of randomly unlocking progressive achievements. The mouse can now be used to select chaff targets and the achievement “Safe Return” can now be unlocked.

A bug in the world map during the U.S.N. campaign has been fixed and a rain effect has been added to maps. One map, OCU22, had missing vegetation which has now been added, along with various minor fixes.

The team cites this as their ‘first’ update based on player feedback that improve the quality of life on the Steam version, so further improvements may be coming.

Forever Entertainment S. A. is also developing a remake of Front Mission 2 and 3, the first of which is set to release this year.
