In the run-up to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth‘s launch next month, Square Enix is collaborating with Sony Pictures and Fathom events to bring Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete to theaters nationwide in the United States for a 2-day run.

On Wednesday, February 21, the English dub of the film will be shown and the English subtitled version will be shown on Thursday, February 22. Advent Children Complete is an extended cut of the original 2005 Final Fantasy VII Advent Children film, running 26 minutes longer with new scenes.

It follows Cloud Strife two years after the events of the original Final Fantasy VII PlayStation game, who is running a delivery business with his partner Tifa Lockhart. Cloud is haunted by his feelings of loss, and has been afflicted with a mysterious new disease called Geostigma that is affecting people across the planet. When investigating the kidnapping of children suffering from the disease, he discovers the perpetrators plan to resurrect Sephiroth, the primary antagonist of the game.

Recently, in 2021, the film was remastered for 4K resolution and released Blu-ray.
