Today, Square Enix revealed that Mirai Moriyama will be voicing the male protagonist ‘Razel’ and Emi Takei who will voice female protagonist ‘Tereshia’ in Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End. This will mark the first time Mirai Moriyama and Emi Takei voice a character in the Dragon Quest series.
Moriyama-san has been playing the Dragon Quest games since his childhood. This is what he had to say about receiving the role to play the male protagonist in the game: “When the offer came, I was more excited than I’d ever been. It’s a title with just about the same amount of history as my own life. I never thought I’d be involved as a voice.”
Takei-san experienced playing the Dragon Quest games with her parents. This is what she said in her statement: “I would have never thought the day would come where I find myself in such a familiar game world. It’s a wonderful feeling to hear my own voice in the game.”
Dragon Quest Heroes II is set to release on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita in Japan on May 27th. The first trailer for the game is due out on Wednesday.
