Final Fantasy XIV and Fall Guys crossover events planned By Tony Garsow on July 28, 2023 at 8:31 PM

Announced at this year’s Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, a crossover with Mediatonic’s Fall Guys video game. In Fall Guys, many players participate in obstacle courses at once and there is a heavy elimination aspect to them. In Fall Guys, characters can be seen customized with Final Fantasy XIV-themed skins, including the Warrior of Light (Dragoon), Alphinaud, Alisaie, Fat Chocobo, Namazu, and Goobbue. The ‘Warriors of Light’ fame pass is available on August 22.

However, a Fall Guys-inspired minigame will be coming to Final Fantasy XIV’s Gold Saucer in the Patch 6.5 series coming later this year. Pictured, you can see up to 24 player matches where characters may be eliminated if they fail to do the mechanics correctly. Gold Saucer is also home to other minigames like Leap of Faith which heavily feature jumping style puzzles.

Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. An Xbox version for Series X and S was announced at Fan Festival.
