Square Enix hiring an online game planner related to Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix is looking for someone to fill the position of online game planner with some relation to Final Fantasy XV, according to a new job listing posted online. The recruitment page specifies very little, but under duties lists “Planning a new online game related to Final Fantasy XV.”

The ad goes into further requirements such as a positive attitude and being able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Other positives include online management experience, production of a game with fees, management experience and having an interest in PC gaming. While Square Enix has other job listings related to Final Fantasy XV and even its fully online titles such as Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV, it’s interesting to note that this one wasn’t prefaced specifically with the game’s title on the main recruitment directory.

Square Enix has also made little effort to confirm or deny any specific online feature set for Final Fantasy XV proper, although in the past Tetsuya Nomura mentioned the addition of possible online or mobile companion applications, and this listing could likely be related to that or something similar. If you recall, both Lightning Returns and Final Fantasy XIV made use of additional outside the game features so it wouldn’t be too surprising if XV followed along after.

Square Enix is, however, in the process of hiring planners, a senior character designer, lighting designer, and programmers as Final Fantasy XV is well under full production. The game remains without any concrete release date, although director Hajime Tabata has said it’s much further out than we anticipate.
