Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will launch worldwide this Winter

Tokyo Game Show will not be the place Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster gets dated, as so many probably hoped it would.

Instead, a new press released issued to us by Square Enix lists the launch date for the PS3 and Vita title as “Winter” instead of their previously touted 2013. Pricing and packaged details remain TBA as well, although we know both X and X-2 will be bundled eventually with custom PS Vita hardware in Japan.

The remaster itself will feature higher quality character models, improved enemy texture quality as well as a revamped user interface. A good chunk of the game’s music has also been rearranged, with original composer Masashi Hamauzu supervising.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 is playable at TGS and despite the lack of a final date, hopefully we’ll be playing the game at home before too long. In the meantime, you can watch the full TGS trailer, which we’ve provided below.
