Motomu Toriyama on Final Fantasy X-3: “The possibility isn’t zero”
A Final Fantasy X-3 in some form or another isn't completely ruled out according to words said in a new interview with Square Enix creatives in Famitsu magazine this week. Tetsuya Nomura, Motomu Toriyama and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima were asked to share some words on the Final Fantasy X series and its potential futures. According to Nomura, Nojima actually wrote a scenario for FFX-3 if it ever were to happen. Will and 2.5 were created from this synopsis, however, the concept itself remains in limbo. Toriyama goes on to say that "the possibility of making FFX-3 is not zero." First they'll have to finish Final Fantasy VII Remake, which continues to be a lengthy project for the foreseeable future. Square Enix will be displaying illustrations of Tidus and Yuna after the events of Final Fantasy X-2 at their special “Farewell Stories” exhibition which will be held at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo from January 22 to February 28. Members of the press, such as Famitsu, were invited into the exhibition ahead of its official opening, and the outlet has shared a few images showcasing the illustrations. For those that are unaware, the artworks are the same ones that were included in the “Credits & Bonus Audio” feature bundled with Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster. If that doesn't whet your appetite, the company will also be showcasing never before seen image boards from the much anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake. Head here to read more. Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster PS4 music and RNG issues patched
Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster arrived on PS4 some months ago and while it was a polished port it wasn't without a couple small, but important issues. Upon playing the game, some attentive fans discovered that the PS4 release had issues with RNG (random number generation) and problems with music restarting rather than continuing after battles. Square Enix has since acknowledged these issues and issued a 37MB patch through the PS4's automatic update system. To obtain the patch, all you need is an internet connection and the game and it should automatically download and install for you - making this release now the definitive versions of Final Fantasy X and X-2.

Here’s some PS4 Final Fantasy X HD Footage
Square Enix is unleashing Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 4 this week, and we've captured a little bit of footage from the new PS4 version of the former game just to give an idea of how it performs. The truth of the matter is it's largely the same, with similar (but allegedly slightly tweaked) character models and textures around the world of Spira, while the menus look as snazzy and as smooth as they did in the PlayStation 3 release. Even the save transfer system, shown in the video, remains intact. New to this release is a switcher between the original soundtrack the arranged soundtrack the original remastered release featured - so if you didn't find that to your tastes you can now enjoy Uematsu's original arrangements from the PS2. There's of course a natural advantage in playing the game with the PS4's more universal operating system behind the scenes too. Check out the video below and our original review of the PS3 and Vita versions through this link. It's out this week, and is available now via Amazon in both Limited and Regular Editions.
