New Outriders stream reveals end-game content and details the Technomancer class
During the fourth Outriders Broadcast, Square Enix and People Can Fly revealed that the upcoming RPG shooter will have post-campaign content for players looking for more challenging gameplay after beating the main scenario. Additionally, they gave fans a closer look at the previously announced Technomancer class. The end-game content is called Expeditions, and is said to be extremely challenging. The content will not be recycled according to the video shown, and players will explore 14 brand new maps and take on incredibly powerful foes to earn new and rare loot. The combat is designed on purpose to be “brutal” and “is intended for battle-hardened Outriders who really want to get creative” with specialized character builds and modded weaponry. “Expeditions expand on the story of the Outriders campaign and features the toughest challenges in the game. Bravely Default II gets a brand new trailer and release date
During the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase today, a brand-new trailer for the upcoming RPG sequel Bravely Default II was among the games that had been previewed. Introducing some of the new characters that players will meet, alongside some combat and gameplay footage, the trailer reveals that four heroes of light, guided by crystals, will set forth on a new adventure. It also appears that the release date for Bravely Default II is now finally set, and will release February 26, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. You can check out the trailer below. Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory demo to launch tomorrow – main menu previewed
The demo for Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, an upcoming rhythm based game, is releasing tomorrow on October 15 according to an official Twitter post. The demo will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, allowing fans a chance to experience the musical adventure before it's release this November. In addition to the demo release date announcement, the official Kingdom Hearts twitter account shared the main menu for the game in the form of a short teaser video, accompanied by a few words from series director Tetsuya Nomura: "Along with the date changing on the 15th, the demo version of KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory will be available. New Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory information details multiplayer, music and more
A bunch of new information regarding the upcoming rhythm game, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, has surfaced. Square Enix has revealed more in-depth explanations of the previously revealed single-player and multiplayer modes, as well as providing a small tease for some of the promised 140 songs that will be available when the game launches. Additionally, two newly released interviews have provided further insights to what players can expect from this music-centric title. General Overview The story will be taking place after Kingdom Hearts III ReMind, and will focus heavily on Kairi. Though what she is doing could not be discussed in an interview with GameInformer, it was revealed that she will be narrating the story and sharing various experiences through past titles, ultimately guiding us and the story toward the future. It was also hinted that that we will catch glimpses into Kairi's mysterious childhood. Gameplay looks like it will be relatively simple to understand. As seen in the previously released Switch trailer, the floating enemies the player will face will act as music notes, and you only need to attack the notes on time to succeed. Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory release date announced, trailer coming soon
Announced via the Nintendo Direct Mini and on the official Twitter accounts, Kingdom Hearts Memory of Melody has received new keyart drawn by director Tetsuya Nomura, a release date and a tease from Nomura himself that a final trailer for the game will be coming in the next few days. Kingdom Hearts Memory of Melody is set to release November 13, 2020 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with pre-orders going up for availability later today for the Switch, with other consoles possibly following soon after. As previously announced, it will be a rhythm game that features various songs from throughout the series. Kairi appears to also play a major role in the game, as Memory of Melody takes place after Kingdom Hearts III. Additionally, the official Japanese Website has been updated, and features a jazzed up version of Dearly Beloved alongside screenshots and more. The English website was also launched as well. New Outriders multiplayer gameplay video shows off the Technomancer class
Today during the third Outriders Broadcast, the fourth and final playable class for the upcoming RPG-shooter was unveiled: The Technomancer, an impressive class capable of providing assistance or utilizing high damage abilities to support their teammates. The Technomancer was announced through a new trailer titled "Become Terror," which features several scenes depicting some of the skills and abilities the Technomancer can use. A class that can forge constructs of war, the Technomancer can fill both the supportive or destructive roles, and has a variety of Anomaly-Powered weaponry at their disposal. The date for the next War Table, a digital stream that showcases and discusses the contents for the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers, has been revealed. On September 1, 2020 at 10:00am PDT, days before it's worldwide release, fans and interested parties can tune in for new information and in-depth looks at various gameplay elements and some world-exclusive announcements. According to Square Enix, this War Table will offer all information players will need to get started on release day. There will be information regarding the high level content, and hints and tips for facing the various enemies of Marvel’s Avengers. Special attention will also be given to the game’s progression system. The stream will also dive deeper into the Avengers Initiative, a game mode where players can strengthen their heroes after completing the game’s Reassmble story campaign. The game’s first post-launch story content will also be revealed, and there will be an unveiling of an additional post-launch playable hero. Additionally, it was revealed that fans can expect new videos and insight for the design and creation of Marvel’s Avengers. One Year Later: The Story of Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers
It’s been one year since Final Fantasy XIV celebrated the successful launch of its third expansion, Shadowbringers. With the finale in the form of Patch 5.3: Reflections in Crystal only a day away from emotionally crushing the community while simultaneously providing us adorable stickers for our screenshots in Group Pose, I had taken this time to fondly look back and reflect on what made Shadowbringers such a fantastic expansion compared to those that came before. I found myself asking: Why was it so good? What was done differently this time around? What made Shadowbringers rival previous Final Fantasy games, matching them in greatness and nostalgia? As I thought about these questions, I realized it was because the development team hit five major story-crafting elements that ultimately led to the game’s success. In this piece, I will be going over those five subjects in hopes that it not only puts my thoughts about the expansion into words, but also help others see what I believe made the story so incredible, and why Shadowbringers was, and is, an incredible work of art that will be remembered for years to come. Part One of Final Fantasy XI’s new storyline coming August 6th – New website and artwork revealed
The Voracious Resurgence, a brand-new storyline update coming to Final Fantasy XI, is a mere few days away from release. Beginning August 6th, players will be able to embark on a brand new storyline to uncover the mystery behind the sudden appearance of strange eggs throughout Vana’diel--eggs whispered in the oldest of Beastmen legends. “It falls to Vana’diel’s finest adventurers to uncover the truth behind this enigmatic phenomenon. Peer beyond the veil of death and unravel the tangled threads of a conspiracy that threatens the very fabric of the world.” The August 6th update will see the beginning of the story unfold, with Beastmen clad in blackened garb infiltrating the streets of Bastok in search of the Galkan child Raebrimm. According to Producer Akihiko Matsui, the story is planned to be released gradually over the span of multiple version updates. In preparation for this content update, a brand-new website has been launched, which reveals small snippets of the story alongside some character screenshots. There are also several greyed out icons, likely placed to house more storyline information in future releases. The second ‘War Table’ for Marvel’s Avengers reveals new character and beta details
During today's War Table broadcast over on Youtube, the team behind Marvel’s Avengers offered an in-depth look at the game’s upcoming beta as well as providing a glimpse at a brand new character coming to the game after launch. Starting August 7 until August 9, 2020 players who pre-ordered Marvel’s Avengers for PlayStation 4 will be able to participate in an exclusive beta event that will allow you to play through quite a bit of the game. According to the stream, several single-player missions will be available, including fighting on Golden Gate Bridge, infiltrating an AIM base and exploring a hidden SHIELD bunker. After finishing the single player campaign, players will be able to explore the co-op multiplayer feature of Marvel’s Avengers and take part in three different mission types, with up to three other players, as four selected Avengers: Khamala Khan, Iron Man, Black Widow and The Hulk. Following the exclusive weekend for PlayStation 4 players, the beta will be made available for all PS4 users on August 14 through August 16, and will be available for players who pre-ordered for XBox One and PC for those same dates.
