During the fourth Outriders Broadcast, Square Enix and People Can Fly revealed that the upcoming RPG shooter will have post-campaign content for players looking for more challenging gameplay after beating the main scenario. Additionally, they gave fans a closer look at the previously announced Technomancer class.
The end-game content is called Expeditions, and is said to be extremely challenging. The content will not be recycled according to the video shown, and players will explore 14 brand new maps and take on incredibly powerful foes to earn new and rare loot. The combat is designed on purpose to be “brutal” and “is intended for battle-hardened Outriders who really want to get creative” with specialized character builds and modded weaponry.
“Expeditions expand on the story of the Outriders campaign and features the toughest challenges in the game. They’re meant to be played with a team of skilled and coordinated Outriders,” said Bartek Kmita, Creative Director of Outriders at People Can Fly. “Powerful equipment and efficient character builds, along with true skill and mastery over your class, are necessary to succeed and reach the highest levels of Expeditions.”
