Dragon Quest Treasures — Tokyo Game Show 2022 Trailer
Square Enix has posted the Tokyo Game Show 2022 trailer for Dragon Quest Treasures, a new treasure-hunting RPG due out on December 9th for Nintendo Switch. It features siblings Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI, albeit their younger selves, in a new adventure to claim treasure and befriend monsters. Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition Review
Last year Nintendo Switch fans got to experience the likes of Dragon Quest XI when the definitive edition hit their platform of choice. The original PS4 and PC title (of which we reviewed back when it released here) had been spruced up with a number of features and new content, helping to sell the critically acclaimed RPG to a new audience. Now here we are, a year after that with the game circling back around for its second definitive release on PS4, PC and Xbox One. Similar to said Switch release, this Definitive Edition (aptly titled Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition), comes packed with a laundry list of features not found in the original 2018 (2017 in Japan) release. Now that the game’s been ported back around to its original source, how does it stack up? Having tested the game running on PlayStation 5, the base game starts out innocently enough. If you’ve played the original Dragon Quest XI you’ll largely know what to expect. For those who haven’t, well… a titanic beast of a game awaits you. Dragon Quest XI S demo out today on PS4, Xbox One, Windows 10, & Steam
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age -Definitive Edition- follows 2018's Dragon Quest XI with a slew of new features. Toggle between Japanese and English voice acting or arranged and orchestrated soundtracks. New character stories have been added, battles now have a speed boost option to move those menial battles along more quickly, and take pictures in a new photo mode. You can also play in 2D mode, which converts the game into a 16-bit experience from the Super Famicom days. Today, Square Enix released a demo on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam. It's quite meaty, featuring the first 10 hours of the game with the ability to carry progress over to the full game. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC
The updated version of Dragon Quest XI will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store on December 4 this year, Square Enix announced today. This version is a port of the Nintendo Switch version, Dragon Quest XI S, and includes a classic 2D graphics mode, orchestral soundtrack, character-specific scenes, and Japanese voice-overs. The game originally launched for PS4 and PC overseas in September 2018, with the Definitive Edition available for Switch since September 2019. The demo version of Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition is available now for download on the Nintendo Eshop for free, allowing new and returning players the chance to experience the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI ahead of its September 27 release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWpwTfwitjo Additionally, the Champion's Pack DLC is also available as a free download and offers five sets of items as a special thank you to players who purchased the game. Square Enix has gone live with a new trailer for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition due out for Nintendo Switch on September 27. Dragon Quest XI S consists of the original game with newly added content such as character-specific stories, fully orchestrated music score, side-quests to journey into past Dragon Quest worlds, and the feature to switch not only between HD and retro 16-bit visuals, but also Japanese and English voice tracks. A Dragon Quest XI S demo is coming to Japan; bonus rewards and more
At a stage event during this year's Dragon Quest Summer Festival in Tokyo, Japan, Square Enix revealed a demo for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition will be coming to Nintendo Switch. A release date has yet to be announced, but the company did reveal some new and interesting tidbits regarding the full game. Read the full details below: Demo Bonus Rewards Those who keep ahold of their save data from the demo will receive a bonus Skill Seed when they play the full game. Playing through the demo and creating a save data will also net you the premium hero card "The One Descended from Erdrick " as a bonus for the Switch version of Dragon Quest Rivals, a free-to-play card battle game. Dragon Quest X World The world of Dragon Quest X will make an appearance in Dragon Quest XI S as one of the past Dragon Quest worlds players can travel to. New Erik Costume Party member Erik will receive a new costume for players to equip in Dragon Quest XI S. The "North Leather Style" outfit is based off from the character's appearance in the one-shot manga by Hiro Mashima that will debut in the August 21 issue

The “Hero” protagonists from Dragon Quest is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
During the Nintendo Direct E3 2019 broadcast, the company revealed the "Hero" protagonists from the Dragon Quest series will join the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the next downloadable content fighter.
