Final Fantasy XV reaches 10 million units sold worldwide

Final Fantasy XV has sold 10 million copies following its launch on multiple physical and digital platforms back in November 2016. Square Enix revealed the milestone today via Twitter, stating simply that the game has achieved a “cumulative worldwide sales of 10 million units” while thanking fans for support.

The game joins the likes of Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XIV – all of which have reached over 10 million unit sales during their lifetime.

This news comes at the forefront of expected news surrounding the elusive next mainline entry in the franchise – Final Fantasy XVI. With the game far into development, more information, including a new trailer, is expected on that front later this spring.
